Some info about my PC CPU : i7 Core 920 @ 3.6GHz RAM : 12GB DDR3 VC : Sapphire Radeon HD5870 Toxic 2GB GDDR5 VC SW : AMD Catalyst 10.12 OS : Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Some info about EVE Client / Character SISI : Build 216164 CHAR : Caldari Ashura Female SETTINGS: ALL MAX / HIGH / EXTREME / AA 4x (Super-Sample / Edge-Detect Mode / Enabled by Application Settings)
Some Graphics Bugs Encountered 1) Interim UI freezes / screen-blanking / notorious dark-gray stripes (Bug Report #104805) 2) Same Windows Desktop UI corruption as with Incursion 1.0.0 (Bug Report #104805)
* All these Graphics bugs & "effects" have been fixed recently in Incursion 1.0.2 w/ AMD Catalyst 10.12 Drivers. Is this a regression or what?
3) Severe Character Textures tearing - gaps, visible boundaries (no screenshot, because the PC hanged) 4) Capturing screenshots with Print Screen takes in some cases 10-20 seconds
UI Bugs
1) Changing Skin Color from the UI does not auto-refresh the character until you change other settings (e.g. freckels level) 2) Changing Eye Color from the UI does not auto-refresh the character eyes until you change the Eye / Iris type 3) After restoring from one of the screen-freezes (going through blank) the character was auto-dressed with some sexy underware, which seemed to be unfinished (NOT JOKING!) This type of underware was nowhere to be found in the Clothes Selection UI - after some rotations with zooming in/out the PC hanged...Is this some child-protection-fail-safe mechanism or what? 4) Eye Makeup - the UI icons have much brigther colors than the actual facial make-up being applied. 5) Footware - the UI icons does not match the actual boots, both in terms of design & color 6) Most of the Color Options does not match the actual colors being applied on various elements
Features & Options Feedback 1) The most obvious missing feature - changing the height of your character is not possible...At least adjusting the the feet / hands length should be possible... 2) The most unreallistic feature - sclupting the face is always symmetrical - there is no single living human being who has perfeclty symmetrical face!!! Make a toggle to sync / descync facial sclupting - ears, lips, skull, nose etc.! 3) The sclupting options are very limited in terms of available ranges of modification - you cannot create even slightly weird / deformed characters & faces. Especially for skull / face modification you could "unlock" or 4) The available color options for skin / eyes are too limited. Why can't I have yellow eyes or red eyes in EVE? Color eye-lens anyone? 5) Changing the lighting (direction / intensity / color) using the old 3D interface would be much better. Using the "Gallery Style" UI is not suitable, because you have very limited number of presets and the icons are too small. 6) In general - the "Gallery Style" UI for selecting certain options (Eyes, Make-up, Sun-Glasses) is not quite convinient, because you have to cycle through all avaialble options and wait for the near-real-time preview in order to find your best match. Drop-down list with bigger pictures or something like this would be better.
Styling / Art Feedback 1) Tatoos / High-Tech-Implants and other mandatory Si-Fi accessories are severely missing. All the characters look too much like cool dudes from 21st century - where is the DARK, SCI-FI-TECHNO EVE STYLE? 2) Characters with Bionic Artificial Hands / Legs? 3) Helmets / Gloves / Body Armor?
Concept Feedback 1) CCP, you must allow future modifications of the characters - once you really have enough art assets. I can't see a way to have much bigger art assets repository by mid January 2011 - both in terms of available types & number of options per type. ___________________________________ BECKS

Previous feedback posted
I've posted some intial feedback here in a previous post
Additional feedback
1) There are weird limits by Race / Bloodline for hair colors options - having a Minmatar Female character with brown / dark-blond hair as the darkest possible option is softly spoken strange. The same goes for Amarr Females...Actually the human hair & eye colors are modifiable in RL by using hair paint and colored lens - EVE universe setting is in the far future, so I guess all races / bloodlines should be capable to apply those 20/21st century tricks
2) Generally, the Color bars in the UI Color Palettes are too small and seem much darker / washed-out in comparison with the actual colors being applied to hair / eyes / make-up (just for example). Actually in most cases the color bars in the UI Color Palettes are very diffrent from the actual colors being applied on objects - probably due to some color/texture blending etc. Anyway, this is not intuitive at all. Too much clicking & testing until you find those blue eyes or blond hair if you find them at all...
3) TOTALLY AGREE that having primary / secondary / tretiary colors for clothes is very important - this would be much better than the current approach of having 2-3 real cloth types, with multiple color variants each in the UI Gallery. Matching diffent parts of the clothing / hair color / make-up would be much easier.
4) Underware options are mandatory (at least in terms of colors in order to match the other clothes), especially when you have to make sexy looking female characters: Sexy Amarr Female - Bra, Jacket & Boots Sexy Gallente Female - Bra & Jacket Sexy Minmatar Female - Bra & Jacket
Some sexier underware would be a bonus
5) Missing "x" option to remove the selected boots/clothes for "Feet" & "Bottom" (the "x" is available for "Top" and "Outer", but not for the other Cloth Categories - Toggle Clothes switch does not count, because it does not reset the Clothing Selection, it toggles the clothes ON/OFF temporarily)
Preliminay Conclusions
1) Based on my 2 personal testing rounds (approx. 20 hours testing) with Build #216164 and having in mind all other constructive suggestions in this forum thread, I cannot possibly see how CCP could be ready with a POLISHED VERSION of the new Character Creator, WITH ENOUGH ART CONTENT WITH PROPER STYLE by January 18th 2011...
2) The new Character Creator is based on the shared Carbon Technology Framework, which is to be used in WoD and DUST 514 - fantastic technology, great approach, but my general impression is that THE ART CONTENT DOES NOT MATCH THE EVE ART STYLE. It seems like CCP has outsourced the art content creation to 3rd party teams without applying art style scrunity...
3) Last, but not least, IMHO the release of the New Character Creator could (and should) be postponed with a couple of months. Such delay (assuming that CCP would implement some of the players suggestions), would only bring much more character diversity, style and quality, without decreasing the Incursion Expansion value... ___________________________________ BECKS

Has anyone tried the new SiSi Build #217138?
It does not seem to improve / change anything related to the New Character Creator, apart from the fact that the Top Tuck option UI control does not work correctly. ___________________________________ BECKS

I would suggest posting the tested EVE SiSi Build Number - many builds = many fixes + many new bugs ;-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FROM NOW ON THE FEEDBACK IS FOR BUILD #218350 released 2011-01-05 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Originally by: Turay Some thoughts about the new version:
- New char creation doesn't work. Black screen.
- The color selection menu for all options is now pretty good.
- Opacity slide for eye shadow works now.
- When you select other options for example eyes the avatar is updating correctly.
- Scarring 3 seems to be less scarred than Scarring 2.
- Skin color in complexion is missing. (Maybe CCP is adding skin colors!?)
Some other thoughts:
- If a body (especially women) are fatter / overweight their waist and ribcage are also wider. If you use the weight slider there are actually only adjustments to arms, legs and bum. For me this doesn't look balanced - Oprah Winfrey doesn't have a waist like Kate Moss!
- Sometimes you want to remove an option like blush or cloth completely. But there is no way to do that.
Conclusion: Even though we don't get any statement here CCP seems to react to our feedback here. The adjustments CCP did is pretty good for example the color selection. I am very confident that we can see some more adjustments from CCP within the next days. Good work CCP!

It's worth seeing those demos!
CCP has done a fantastic job with the skin shaders, the hair & cloth (10x to APEX/PhysX), but the character face mimic at the last stage of the creator are quite unnatural in comparison with everything else. The moment you try to make the character smile your 1 hour sculpting effort wents to hell...
18th of January is so close, but I think the character creator is FAR FROM POLISHED and the art content is FAR FROM SUFFICIENT.
I am the last one to troll in this forum! I am really impressed by the Carbon Technology and the achievements of CCP's team, but RAISING THE BAR SO MUCH IN TERMS OF REALISM & TECHNOLOGY REQUIRES ATTENTION TO DETAILS!!!
I just hope that CCP will continue to improve the character creator and will not leave it as it is: 90% of the job done with 10% sub-par details which ruin the experience...

SUPPORTED!!!
EXCELLENCE SHOULD MEAN (AS A MINIMUM) FINISHED FUNCTIONALITY AND CONTENT
Originally by: PLEXIN CARGO Edited by: PLEXIN CARGO on 09/01/2011 16:31:10 I do hope you read this CCP and realize the players would like you to actually finish this amazing tool befor releasing it... It has lots of potential. Release it when it's finished and it will be an awsome tool that both new and old players will enjoy and remember. Release it to soon, when it's not ready, and it will just be another creator fot the new players + the old players will be very unhappy because of the few choices we have in hair/clothing + the removal of tattoos and necklaces... Many people are simply unhappy about the new avatars they will get... Please CCP make this craetor perfect before you release it.

Edited by: Hawk TT on 09/01/2011 19:19:47 SiSi Build #219281 2011-09-01
1) There are missing implants on the back of the naked Amarr male. 2) There are some rendering bugs related to PhysX Cloth Simulation, especially with Amarr Robes.
I guess these are known poblems to CCP, but because they are not affecting the portraits, they are not on top of the Back Log...
Check the problematic areas within the red rectangles 1) Amarr Male - Missing Back Implants 2) Amarr Male - Cloth Clipping & Collision (Hand / Boots) Bug
I was wondering if the Amarrs have supperior capabilities and don't need all the spinal implants like the other races... ___________________________________ BECKS

SiSi Build #219281 2011-09-01
1) Amarr / Amarr Males have some dental pathology...is it a DNA related problem or what? 2) Teeth / Lip clipping is buggy Check the following screenshots (quite funny characters): 1) Amarr Male - Teeth/Lip Clipping Bug 2) Amarr Male - Severe Teeth/Lip Clipping Bug
CCP, nerfing the allowed sculpting range is not a solution, the jaw/teeth should be moved along with the lip/chin morphing... ___________________________________ BECKS

Yep,
Reduce the Shader quality Reduce the Texture quality Disable anti-aliasing
Last, but not least - what is you graphics card?
Originally by: Afric I would just like to point out that the high shader setting is almost unbearably slow on my machine. I have a dell inspiron 1545 with 2gb ram. I can run eve pretty well no problem but not the character editor. Is there some setting I could activate to make this more manageable or does my computer just suck the big one? All in all I really like all the features so far.
